Beskrivning

A union membership training provides knowledge of the union ideas, based on the promise of the union: That the employees agree with each other not to sell their work at a lower price or on worse terms than they have promised each other.

In order for the trade union organization to function as a public movement, participation in the basic member training is needed. All members are entitled to basic union education. It is about strengthening members' union awareness and encouraging them to use their democratic rights in the trade union organization, in the workplace and in society.

Content of the course

A union membership training provides knowledge of the union ideas, based on the promise of the union: That the employees agree with each other not to sell their work at a lower price or on worse terms than they have promised each other. The trade union is this promise. In addition to this, we learn about the most important means of the promise, the nationwide collective agreement.

The goal of knowledge - We believe that you have chosen to participate in this training to get basic knowledge of the goals, function and role of the trade union and your union in the labor market and in society.

The goal of change - The education should lead to you strengthening your self-esteem, getting a better ability to communicate, understanding your own role and participation in the union work and to be inspired to work for a fairer society.
